Above is a downloadable paper about our earliest
development work with the CELL Broadband Engine form
IBM, Toshiba and Sony (including performance data). We
started working with OASIS and the Emotion Chip 2
prior to the year 2003 knowing that the CBE was to be
released in the near future.
What we developed here is not only
about the CBE and CAD acceleration. Still other
high-performance processor Kernel Libraries (whether
multi-core) are not optimized for CAD, especially
computational geometry operations spread over large
payloads of layout data. We expect that our C/C++ API,
OASIS Geometry Kernel Libraries (o-GKL), Routines and
Wrappers will be applicable (at least) to the Intel
Woodcrest, Itanium, Sun Niagara, AMD Opteron and, of
course, the CBE.
The company's OASIS geometry kernel for the CELL
Broadband Engine is integrated into its OASIS C++/C
API. The package is intended for CAD tool developers
who are seeking to improve the performance of
tomorrow's design and mask manufacturing processes
using computational geometry.
Our C++/C API, Libraries and the
OASIS Geometry Kernel (optimized for the CELL Broadband
Engine) are available for evaluation. We
support the API during the evaluation period. For more
information, please go to our software
Evaluation
