The
OASIS specification has the facility of representing
compressed data as a CBLOCK. The compression method used
in the specification RFC 1951 and one implementation of
that is zlib. OASIS Tooling developed stand-alone
utilities which compress and decompress using zlib.
Recognizing the need to operate on multi-gigabyte files,
the Oasis Tooling converter uses optimized algorithms to
do stateless compression.
